Hispanic Small Business Advantage

Author: Lance Winslow

One thing I have noticed in my travels to different markets is that Hispanic Small Business Owners have a very distinct advantage. They are friendly and very involved in their communities. Hispanic Business Men and Women are very socially active and if you look at their incredible unity, there is nothing slowing down this Hispanic Middle class from becoming upper classmen. They are incredible relationship builders and smart and savvy business people. Just look at the number of organizations propelling their simultaneous hard work ethics:

and there are over 30 Hispanic Chambers of commerce in Texas alone. They are well staffed and serious about business. When we look at another group; the Black Chambers of Commerce we see a lot less unity and staying power, as most are run by single, hard-working individuals, on a mission of equality and changing past wrongs. But often the membership dwindles and lack of inflow in membership fees causes their groups to fail. We have been studying this phenomena and are now preparing a white paper on this observation, here is one website to prove the point and most of the 31 links have become broken and are no longer in existence.

We find this to be a problem because there seems to be issues where things are not working in the country, which should be working. Also this site:

We will continue watching this trend strengthen. We see now that a Hispanic Gentleman runs the Small Business Administration, SBA, who among other things is keen on promoting Latino Americans to start their own small businesses. The Hispanic small business owners of America are proving that this is the land of opportunity indeed. Think on this.
