Swing the MLM Bat

Author: Gerald Schiano

Network marketing or MLM is not a get rich quick scheme and should be treated as any other business endeavor. You will have fits and starts in the business. Your business will hit plateaus and sticking points. At these times, re-evaluate your goals and objectives. Break down your goals into daily action steps and try to stay in the profit zone. The profit zone is activities that directly lead to results such as returning a prospects e-mail, calling new prospects, or making a sales presentation. Try to save the paper shuffling for times that are not as productive or when you can not be interacting with prospects or members of your team.

Utilize technology to leverage your marketing time. I use my voice blasting software to send targeted messages to my prospects before crucial meetings or tele-conferences. Repetition is the heart of marketing and positioning yourself in the mind of the consumer. E-mail is a great way to consistently stay in front of a prospect. When you convert a prospect into a qualified lead do not forget to add the human touch and pick up the phone to strike while the iron is hot. A blog or article published in your area of expertise will further drive organic traffic to your landing page or site!

The beauty of network marketing is that often your organization will take on a life of its' own. My short term goal is $500 per month. Relative to my other businesses that amount is a joke, but I have noticed that as my group grows it becomes easier to add new members because of the efforts of others. I still have much work to do and one leg of my group is lagging the other, but with time and persistence I am confident I will attain my goal.

It is easy to get discouraged when you see other producers in any network marketing company knocking the cover off the ball. Keep in mind that these big producers often had groups that followed them from other companies. They also started like you and I, in the trenches. $500 a month from a business that many said was a scam and tossed aside is a nice adjunct to my income. The process of growing my group has been more of a marketing experiment and an enjoyable one at that. I have developed many skills that I can apply to my other endeavors because of what I have learned marketing Probuilderplus. So keep your head up, and swing the bat which is the only way you'll hit a few homeruns or singles if you choose, in life!
