Timeshare Rental - Looking for a Cheap Getaway?

Author: Jason Dobbins

If an owner of a Timeshare can not use it during the specific time period he will either loss his week or he will have to bank it with an exchange company. If he does nothing with the timeshare they will loss their maintenance fees and taxes for the year which range from $400 to $1000 for the more lavish resorts. If the Timeshare owner was to bank it they have membership fees and banking fees which eat away at there pocket even more.

The above mentioned are a big part of why Timeshare owners are excited to rent out there unit. Why is it good for you? Timeshare resorts are similar to hotels; they give you all the benefits of some of the nicest hotels with Pools, activities, and other resort attractions but with bigger accommodations. Most timeshare units include a kitchen, separate living room and multiple bedrooms depending on the resort you are interested in. Timeshares range from Studios which are similar to a hotel room to 3 bedroom 3 bath accommodations. So your probably wondering how much is it going to cost to rent out a timeshare since it is so much larger than a hotel room but with the same hotel amenities. Truthfully it really depends on where you are looking to stay and what resort it is. It could range from $500 to $3000 for a 7 night stay. You have to take into consideration if you are traveling with friends or large family how much multiple hotel rooms will cost. If you are able to get a 3 bedroom timeshare for $1500 that is $71 a night per room. Try and get that at a hotel.

So how do you go about locating a timeshare to rent? You can go to http://www.vpresales.com and search their vast inventory for the perfect vacation getaway. Some of the units listed will also be for sale so if you are interested after you get back from your vacation you can always consider buying the Timeshare and have use of it every year. Remember the owner has expenses yearly for the use of the resort and might be negotiable on the rental price so make an offer today.
