Inner Sunshine

Author: Robert Curtis

Its snowing outside. Its 7:28 a.m., on April 6th, and its snowing outside. Thick clouds hang down from the sky, obscuring the views of the mountains that encircle the city. The sun is up.somewhere.

How often do we see this? How often do we feel this? Do we allow the circumstances of our external environments to dictate how we will feel, how we will react, to the events and opportunities of the day?

We cannot control the weather, but we can predict our own internal daily forecast.

We can generate and maintain our own inner sunshine.

What matters most is not the weather and circumstances around us, but how we react, what opportunities we find within those circumstances.

Some situations may take more research than others, but there are opportunities or lessons to be learned in every situation in life. Even if it is nothing more than to learn not to do such-and-such again!

Happiness is where we find it, and we wont find it until we look. Happiness is not something that is showered upon us. It is discovered deep within us.

We fill our wells of happiness by the things we say and do. Our wells are never empty if we consistently replenish the supply.

Inner sunshine is what fills our wells. Make your opportunities for happiness daily, then drink deeply of inner sunshine!
