The number one AdWords FAQ is: How much does AdWords cost? The cost depends on how much you want to spend. You decide on the keywords and the cost per click for each keyword. You also choose your daily budget which is how much you spend per day. The daily budget and the cost per click for each keyword can start as low as $0.01 and go to as high as you want it to go.

Why can't I see my ad? This is another AdWords FAQ. Here are several reasons why you may not see your ad. You may need to check back later. Your ad is usually up and running after activating your account. Sometimes there may have been a server upload delay which causes your ad to take longer to be shown. If you can not see your ad in an hour you may need to contact Google for help. Check your daily budget. When you create your ad and select keywords or target sites it is recommended to have a daily budget for maximum ad delivery on Google. If your daily budget is lower then the recommended amount the delivery of your ad is spread throughout the day in order to stay within your budget. You may raise your daily budget in order to increase visibility of your ad.

Check the approval status of your ad. If an ad doesn't meet the Editorial Guidelines it will be stopped and you will see "disapproved" listed under your ad. Check the performance of your keywords. If you are running a keyword targeted campaign and a keyword is not getting the results it needs it may be moved to an inactive state. You will need to choose a better keyword. Your ads may also only be showing on certain variations of your keyword or phrase because the keyword has a Low Quality score. You may check the keyword status column on your Ad Group Details page. Check your site targeting.

If you are running a site targeted campaign your ad will only show on the websites you specify. Those websites must be a part of the Google Network. It is also possible that your ad just is not showing at the moment. Check your maximum CPM. If you are running a site targeted campaign and your ad is not showing, your maximum cost per thousand impressions (CPM) may be too low to win a position on that site. Check the campaign summary page in your account for details of how well your ad is showing and how often. You may need to raise your max cpm. You can also try expanding your list of targeted sites. Check formats. The formats of the ad you are running must match the website formats.

For example, if you are running an image ad you must make sure the website you target has the same format as your image ad. Check your geo-targeting. If you do not target a country or place that speaks a language you understand you will not see your ad. Make sure you target the right language and location. If you target a specific city or region sometimes the IP or Internet Protocol may not be obtained. If the location of the searcher can not be determined only national ads will be shown to them.

If you have selected a keyword that is too broad you may not see results from it. For example, it you have a website about Mediterannean cruises and you have chosen cruises as a keyword, this may be too broad a phrase. Google will only send people who are searching for information on Mediterannean cruises to your site if your keyword is too broad. This way you will have a better chance at getting the traffic you need.
